Explorers Club

Age of Impact

There's not a song on this album that's less than eight minutes long. The music is syncopated avant-garde experimental progressive electronic noise and if that isn't enough, Explorers Club draws from and brings back memories of all the greatest progressive rock influences: King Crimson, old Genesis, Yes, Jethro Tull, and even Pink Floyd. Trent Gardener (Magellan) must have had an ambitious project in his mind and with instrumentalists the likes of Terry Bozzio (Frank Zappa, Bozzio Levin Stevens), James LaBrie and John Petrucci (both from Dream Theater), and D. C. Cooper (Royal Hunt), Gardener is able to realise his musical ambition in Explorers Club. This is a progressive rock record like none other!
