My name is Maureen Perotto. I an a graduate of American University, located in NW Washington, D.C. I transferred there for my junior year from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, which are located in Geneva, New York. HWS is a great place to spend some time as an undergrad. If you're interested, check out their page and read the thing about the scissors. That explains a lot about how things work at that school. I am currently in California attending graduate school at San Jose State University. I will continue to study the technical aspects of the theatre and hopefully start to dabble in the world of television. I drove cross country from Washington, D.C. to Palo Alto, California this summer. It was quite an adventure.
I come from Rochester, NY. My parents have been together forever. I have one younger sister, Darcy (aka Beaver Louise) who attends Juniata College in Pennsylvania. I also have a dog, a Cocker Spaniel, named Spencer. Click here for a copy of my non-theatre related resume.
I am currently living in Palo Alto, not too far from Stanford University. I think I am adjusting well to California life. It rains a lot but that is better than the snow I am used to.
When I am not in class a lot of my time is spent in the theatre. Check out my theatre stuff page to see what I have been doing. I also go to a lot of movies and a fair number of concerts. The movie reviews are highly influenced by me but they do belong to someone else. Please know that I do not share all of the opinions expressed there.
I am also the manager of a band called TWISTED HELICES. Check out the band's home page and order a CD or a t-shirt or both! I helped design the case and even wrote some of the lyrics used in the songs.
